Final two pandemic-delayed BTO projects completed: HDB

The standing projects had waiting times of as much as 5 years. Generally, over 18,000 apartments were carried out in 2024, says HDB.

Minister for National Development Desmond Lee has recently announced the finish of the last two pandemic-delayed ventures from HDB, according to a Jan 20 release.

Currently, 110 HDB housing projects are under construction, up from 95 a year ago due to the increase in BTO supply in recent years. HDB says it is on track to complete around 17,000 flats across 27 plans in 2025.

As at Jan 15, 37 households or about 7% of 555 reserved units have gotten their keys.

As at Jan 15, 657 households or 59% of 1,109 lined up units have gotten their keys.

Positioned around Serangoon Road, Lavender Street and Boon Kheng Road, Kempas Residences BTO project has 583 units of two-room flexi, three-, four-room apartments throughout four residential blocks.

In 2024, HDB completed a sum of 22 home properties, 17 of which were postponed by the pandemic. With the exception of one that was delayed as a result of non-pandemic causes, the standing 4 house projects were accomplished on time.

HDB is assumed to notify the remaining flat owners of their key collection date soon, following the completion of the last blocks among both ventures this month.

Situated along New Punggol Road, Punggol Point Cove (Stage 2) consists of 1,179 units of two-room flexi, three-, four- and five-room condos across six non commercial blocks. Following pandemic delays, the project’s last block was finished 12 months from its original Probable Completion Date (PCD) earlier this month.

The two Build-to-Order (BTO) plans, Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) and Kempas Residences, observe the completion of HDB’s pandemic-delayed real estate projects. Overall, the 92 projects have delivered over 75,800 new flats to Singaporeans over the last 5 years.

The final block, that was put off by six months from its first PCD, was accomplished in mid-January.

Apartment homeowners of Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) have been receiving the keys to their new house from November 2024, whilst key collection for Kempas Residence began in mid-January this year.

According to HDB, the conclusion of Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) marks the conclusion of all apartments in the Punggol Point District. This includes Punggol Point Cove (Phase 1), Punggol Point Woods and Punggol Point Crown BTO projects, which were completed in 2024.

The 22 house projects featured 2 Shorter Waiting Time (SWT) projects, that were finished within a waiting duration of less than three years. The SWT work, Parc Glen at Tengah and Grove Spring at Yishun, comprised a total amount of 1,995 condos.
